For the first time in over a year, Insights Association members reporting no pandemic-related project cancellations/postponements outnumber those still experiencing this issue. This was among the encouraging data points from IA’s most recent COVID-19 survey.
This latest survey – Wave 5 – was fielded from late April to mid-May of 2021. It focuses on the impact of COVID-19 in Q1 of 2021 and how members feel about its continued effects. IA members from corporations, full-service agencies, and data collection agencies who work in qualitative, quantitative, software, and/or analytics were surveyed.
IA members responding to the survey are working to reopen offices. Both corporate researchers and agencies say concerns about future business has lessened and they report pipelines are back to what they were pre-pandemic or better.
Yet it is too early to declare things are “back to normal”. Eight-five percent of those completing the survey report that travel is limited to business-critical work, meaning a vast majority are not cleared for non-project-related meetings or conferences.
